Snipits of Information
During my vacation, I, sadly, missed the Jeepers Jamboree. Imagine a ton of Jeeps all supped up for off roading on the Rubicon trail coming through town in one day. AND the fact that last year the forest service picked up 2, 000 lbs of human waste from around Loon Lake which the Rubicon trial went around. DANG!! I MISSED SUCH A THING!! HOW COULD I???!!!

I was having withdrawl from owls last weekend and went "owling" with my semi coworker, Lauren. (She had a couple days to make up for work) I got a kick ass pic of the tricksy male RALSE AND we got protocol! SWEET!!!!
Would anyone care to identify the bands on this bird??
On the sad note however, we lost our FAVORITE bird on the telemetry project. She was hit by a car/truck/or semi on Wentworth Springs road. She was the best bird and also the only bird I've gotten to help transmitter as of yet. Sheila burried her Friday at her roost site.
Our Sugar female also has been missing and this week Perry found that the male has a new female with him. I'm crossing my fingers that I'll be able to go out and help transmitter the new female. Cross your fingers for me PLEASE!!
Until next time...
