Back in the States

Ok.. I've been wanting to set up a new blog ever since I came back to the US. Then, even moreso when I was volunteering at Hawk Ridge. It's been 7 months now that I've been back. We'll see how well I keep this one up-to date!

Anyway.. to sum it up. When I came back from Taiwan, I moved in with my sister. I was looking for jobs half heartedly in the area because most of my time was looking for fieldwork jobs instead. No luck.

I decided to get a regular day-job and maybe find some volunteer biology work in the area. I remembered Hawk Ridge from my professor in Stevens Point and decided to volunteer there for a weekend and come up now and again to help out when I could.

Well, I came up there and got hounded by my new found fellow birding buddy and the rest of the Hawk Ridge staff that they actually persuaded me to MOVE to Duluth and volunteer loads of time there and for whatever reason (I'm crazy), I did!

I went to my sister's packed up my stuff and moved to Duluth. After I realized that I can't continue to pay bills (and rent) I found a day job..

I just got a job working with Spotted Owls in California. It starts in April. I'm extremely excited and a little nervous also. New job, new start kinda thingy.

Anyway, I thought I'd send some post some pics of Hawk Ridge anyway even though it's way way way late.
