Back to Birds
So I've hit the boring part of my job. Most of our birds are transmittered now, so it's just a matter of following them all night taking bearings on their whereabouts and making triangles out of that. I did walk in on a couple birds though to check their backbacks. So I have more pics of that.

One of our birds went on a walkabout so my coworker Jeff and I had the wonderful job of trying to locate her. No real luck though.. We have a vague area pinned down.
She's down there SOMEWHERE.
Sheila and I went out some other week to the same area to catch the male to one of the females we have transmittered. He kept perching too high to get him, but we walked in on them while they were still sleeping. They were SOOOO cute perched together. We HAD to take a ton of pics.
Adorable!
We also felt the need to share a pic of our "office".
This week went by with nothing too exciting to report. Lyla had a friend come and visit her yesterday, so we tried to take him out to see some Spotteds. We didn't see the pair that we first went to, but we drove down a little further to try to sight the Sparred Owls pair (a hybred of Spotted Owls and Barred Owls) We did sight one of those. They sound soooo weird. Their hoot is a mix between Spotted and Barred. It's really funny.
That's about it. I have more pics of the Sparred, but I need to fix them on my computer and I don't have time/patience today to do that. You'll just have to deal! :)
